Description

A parametric full-complement bearing with opposed raceways, evenly distributed balls, and chamfered ring edges. The raceway flank angle, bearing dimensions, ball sizing, clearances, and chamfers are editable. Original prompt: Create an uncaged ball bearing with separate inner and outer races. Use a 24 mm bore, 66 mm outside diameter, 21 mm width, 12 mm maximum ball diameter, 0.3 mm minimum clearance between balls, 0.2 mm ball-to-race clearance, and 0.5 mm race chamfers. Keep these seven dimensions editable. Place the ball centers halfway between the bore and outside surfaces. Round a non-whole ball count up, then reduce the ball diameter just enough to maintain the specified clearance. Give both races a circular groove with a radius 0.5 mm greater than the final ball radius. Use the fixed 65° angle to determine where each groove arc ends. On both axial sides of each groove, make the shoulder a flat land at constant radius, extending toward the race face. Do not add sloped flanks or model the raceway as a toroidal cut alone. Keep the 0.5 mm groove allowance and 65° angle fixed.
